Ladies Tea at Northlake

Today over 100 ladies gathered in the honored tradition of high tea. Actually when we got there we learned a little history of the name high tea and low tea. Originally low tea was named such because it was served on lower tables. Eventually traditions changed and high tea came to refer to upper class people and low tea to lower class people. So our tea today was changed to just medium tea. Each table hostess decorated their own table. I was honored to be able to use Mom's beautiful dishes that brought back many memories of happy family dinners.
From across the table we could see Theo, Linda, Gabby and Rosie at their table with Gabby and Rosie's grandmother. Unfortunately we didn't get to visit with them much. We will go visit Milton and Theo tomorrow instead.

Laura, Mom and I shared a table with Sharon, Jean and Sharon's daughter Samantha (Sam). Unfortuately Teresa had to work.   We discovered Sharon and Jean had lived 10 years in Moscow Idaho so Mom and they had great fun reminising about that area.

The menu was finger sandwiches and scones followed by cookies and candies. All in all it was a fun time.
