Susie and Milton won the scavenger hunt.

We actually spent most of the time on the boat but a few people got off when we were tied up. Mornings and evenings were the most productive fishing times.

Jan and Laura did the least fishing. Another activity was a mystery game based on Star Trek the Next Generation.

Everyone fished except Laura. However not everyone caught fish. But we all had fun.

Tonia was proud of her fish. Jonathan caught the first fish, and the most fish and Susie caught the biggest fish. In the background is the dock where we boarded the boats.

Susie and Linda organized a photo scavenger hunt. Each team of two had to photograph something for every letter of the alphabet. Here Theo poses for her partner for the letter H.

We saw wild life including this friendly butterfly, osprey, eagles, ducks, quail, geese, a lone cow, a deer and of course fish. We caught bass but none of the other promised fish.

After the first morning Jonathan insisted everyone clean their own fish, especially Susie since she was his main competition for the money in the fishing derby.

There was a covered deck on the front and back of the boat that had room enough for all of us if we scrunched together.

Chris did a good job as riverboat captain.

We spent the last afternoon and night at the base of this waterfall. Chris, Tonia and Laura hiked over boulders to the base of the waterfall. We had a rude awakening at 4:30 AM when Chris discovered one of the tie off ropes had come off and the wind was pushing us sideways. We had to scramble to get the other rope off the boulder (which by that time was wedged securely). So we headed out into open water extremely early but enjoyed a beautiful sunrise.

Tonia did pretty well on the houseboat despite being pregnant. Here she is enjoying a pickle. She had pregnancy as an excuse but Teresa also enjoyed Grandma's pickles.
