Getting old isn’t so bad when birthdays are celebrated with those you love.
Friday started the festival at JonTon’s home with a great dinner and a delicious carrot cake. I am very happy about the extra set of silverware and I will need to host a large dinner soon I think to put them to good use. I also received some movies from Linda, (one of which we watched tonight). Although we may sacrifice a small amount of sleep by spending the night I really enjoy the talks and games and just being together on Friday night. It is worth it!
Saturday we enjoyed the Experience Music Project. My favorite part was the room with all the guitars representing the history of the guitar. After much encouragement and coaxing we enjoyed dinner at JonTon’s favorite Indian restaurant. It is good to get out of our comfort zone and try new things occasionally. And I was able to find something on the menu I liked :)
The festival continued Sunday with dinner at the Cathlamet Fergusons with Mom and Dad (a.k.a. Ruth and Larry) invited also. There we were fed a feast and I was showered with more gifts including a beautiful new rug for the family room (Yea!) and flowers (potted and bulbs)(very pretty) and a paper cutter (yea!) and various other treasures. Thank you everyone. I am very grateful and blessed.
Love you lots, Jan
